The "clergy" are the religious leaders of today. You may be familiar with seeing them in a building on the corner or on a television program, but we would like to direct your attention to how the scriptures in the Bible speak of these people. During the time of Jesus Christ, they were known as Pharisees. As in the time of Jesus Christ's preaching, the clergy of today seem to be knowledgeable about God's words, but are they trustworthy? They do not preach the truth as taught by Christ Jesus, the Apostles, and the Prophets in the Bible, but instead they teach their own doctrines often times making money while doing so. The Bible teaches that the truth from Almighty God in the Bible is to be given freely, and not for money. This study references the Bible and the teachings about clergy. Learn why it is dangerous to listen to them or follow them.
