How did the earth, other celestial bodies, vegetation, mankind, and animals come to be? Is there evidence in the Bible to support the creation of all things? Scientists believe the earth is billions of years old. Scriptures also support the idea that creation was not completed in six, 24-hour days. Isaiah prophesied that the earth was round many years before Columbus sailed to the America's. It was also prophesied in the Old and New Testaments that there would be a time period in the future where mankind would have the technology to travel into the heavens.
How does Science and the Bible Agree?
Genesis 1:1-5 There was night and day on the earth prior to the creation of the sun and moon. What source could have supplied this light on the earth? Possibly there was some mass in the heavens, like a ball of fire, which blew up and created the sun and moon. This supports the scientist's big bang theory. Genesis 1:14-19 The sun and the moon providing day and night on the earth were not created until day four. After the big bang it probably would have taken some time for the planets to have reached the vicinity of the earth. This could not have been accomplished in one 24-hour day, as scientists would agree. God's time-line is not according to man's time-line. Sometimes, God uses the word "day" but it is longer than man's 24-hour day. For example "in the day of Hitler" refers to the time period of Hitler's reign - not a 24-hour time period. In 2 Peter 3:8, "a day with Lord is as 1,000 years, and 1,000 years as one day."
Genesis 1:11-13 The seeds for grass, herbs and trees were all created after their own kind. The seeds grew and produced more seeds that continued to cover the earth. This process probably took thousands of years to cover the earth. God did not make the earth full of trees in one 24-hour day, he created the seed and let the natural process of growth take its course, just as we can see this process continue today.
Genesis 1:21-24 God created the first animals and allowed them to multiply and fill the seas and the earth. This again must have taken longer than one 24-hour day. Every animal had to reproduce after its own kind. A cat did not come from a dog, both were created as individual creatures.
Jonah 1:17 God prepared a great fish to swallow Jonah. This story of Jonah has sometimes been taught that a whale swallowed him. Scientists know that it is not possible for a whale to swallow a man because of the size of its throat.
Isaiah 40:21-22 Isaiah knew that the shape of the earth was circular.
Technology and the Heavens
Revelation 13:11-14 The topic of the beast is a different subject, but notice the power or 'fire from heaven'. This power is so great that it is referred to as a miracle. This technology has never existed before this last generation that we are living in.
Amos 9:1-3 Amos refers to the time of God's wrath where no one will be able to escape his punishment. No one will be able to hide in the heavens or the bottom of the sea. God knew that man would develop the technology to travel in the heavens and beneath the sea.

I am not sure what you are trying to say in your second sentence. Our study on true science and the Bible, simply points out that prophecies in the Bible, like technological advances in this world at the time of Christ's second coming, and how it took millions of years for the universe to be created, confirm what some of the scientists say has already been taught in the Bible. The Bible does not support evolution. 1.
