Re: mrJohn Crawmer, Super AdministratorI am a catholic,i heard of book of life and i know about salvation .But i just want to know where (in bible)it says in?when u saved ur name will be entered in to book of life ,thanks — palaPerhaps the scripture below will help with your question? "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." This verse, found in Revelation 20:15, explains that if a person's name is not written in the Book of Life, that person will die the second or final death. It seems then, that your name must be written in the book of life to live, and escape this final death. 11. mrpala, UnregisteredI am a catholic,i heard of book of life and i know about salvation .But i just want to know where (in bible)it says in?when u saved ur name will be entered in to book of life ,thanks 10. the book of lifeGuest User, Unregisteredi had a dream that my name was took out of the book of life can it be put back in? 9. Re: Can names be added to the Book of Life?Bible Research, Unregisteredcan names be added to the Book later on by virtue of one's faith and love of God & others? (We know from the Bible that the Lamb may remove names from the Book.) — poet40Those written in the Book of Life are God's people who are saved through the blood of Christ. Because we are born sinners in this world it takes repentance and Christ's sacrifice to get our names written in the book. The best scripture I can find that comes out and says God's people are written in the book opposed to having their names written before they were born is in Malachi 3:16. Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name. Revelation 20:12-13 is also good to use to show that every man will be accounted in judgment. Those who are found approved are in the Book of Life "And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works." 8. Can names be added to the Book of Life?poet40, UnregisteredThe Book of Life existed when humans came into being. Were everybody's name recorded in the Book of Life originally or only a subset of it? If a subset of it (as most scholars would suggest), can names be added to the Book later on by virtue of one's faith and love of God & others? (We know from the Bible that the Lamb may remove names from the Book.)
I ask these questions because the opposite would be very sad. That means it is written (or not written)some where that some of us would never enter Heaven, even before we were born. I would rather believe that we can all be saved. But is there biblical reference to such a belief? Thanks in advance to your responses/comments. 7. cyndiGuest User, Unregisteredis the book of life the same as the akashik records and/or the book of remembrance? where can i find more on the akashik records? 6. Re: tragedy that raises questionGuest User, UnregisteredHello, I am a believer and received news that a friend, who is also a believer, has committed suicide. She is an adult woman that is very committed to her relationship with God. She was suffering from a server case of post partum depression. She just had her child one week ago. Her Dr. put her on Prozac and it made her nose dive into depression even harder. Her and her husband moved out of state and no longer has family or friends around them. She battled this alone before it got to the point of taking Prozac. I believe she is in Heaven. I believe she was not in her right mind when this happened. I think the mental illness and the drug took her to that point. Other Christians, such as her family, believe she was removed from the Book of Life because of her action. This really upsets me and hope you can help shine some light on this subject. Thank you

No one can make a judgment regarding anyone being taken out of the Book of Life. Judgment is not ours to make, "For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord. Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God." (1 Corinthians 4:4-6)
To believe in God is also to understand the mercy and forgiveness that is in him. "Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted." (Psalm 49:13)
Anyone who has the right heart condition will be given the gift of eternal life. "But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And of some have compassion, making a difference:" (Jude 1:20-22)
And I know that God brings with him all those who were oppressed in this world and wish to serve him. "Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's. The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed." (Psalm 103:1-6)
That is the comfort we have to live with. This world is full of pain and darkness. Soon the Kingdom of God will be on the earth, and there will be no more pain. "But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace."
