Recognizing the Time of the End PDF Print E-mail

The scriptures in this study will expose the reader to facts about the times we currently live in. The Apostle John and the Prophet Daniel saw visions which foretold of specific events, signifying the time of the end, or last generation. Jesus Christ also described events to watch for prior to his 2nd coming. Some prophecies that Jesus Christ, John and Daniel warned us about have been fulfilled in recent years, giving evidence to the quickly approaching return of Jesus Christ. There is also a warning not to be enticed by this world. A similar situation ocurred during the time of Noah, those people were destroyed by water because of their disregard for the Almighty God, Jehovah. Some people, currently being distracted by this present world, are not listening to the warnings leading up to Jesus Christ's second coming. Despite all the proof in the Bible, many people still ignore the prophecies and are not recognizing that we are in the last generation. Time is running out for those interested. Don't be caught unaware.

Learning What to Watch For

Matthew 24:37-39  In this scripture Christ gives a warning - comparing people’s attitudes at the time of his second coming with the attitudes people had at the time of Noah.

II Peter 3:3-7  There were scoffers in Noah’s day when he was building the ark. There are those who mock today.

Luke 21:29-35  We are warned not to get caught up in the cares of this life or we will be snared. As a metaphor, Jesus Christ explains when figs are ripe that summer is near. Similarly, in verse 31, Christ warns us that when we see these events happen we will know that his second coming is near.

Mark 13:32-37  We are warned to watch and pray.

I Thessalonians 5:1-6  The Apostle Paul foretold that God’s people will know the “times and seasons” of the end and that in the last generation people will say, “Peace and Safety.” In the statutes of the United Nations (the 8th and final world power, refer to bible study titled, The Beast) Article 1 states that, “The purpose of the United Nations are: 1. To unite our strength to maintain international peace and security…” They will soon say that, but it will be a false peace.

Matthew 24:3-8 14, 32-34  One of the questions the disciples asked Christ was “…and when will be the end of the world?’’ Christ said that nation will rise against nation (World Wars I & II) there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in different places. (see also Revelation 6: 1-17) These events are not the end of the world but the beginning of sorrows leading up to the end. The gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all nations, and then the end will come. When we see all these things come to pass, then we know the end is near. bigstockphoto_international_space_station_1812971.jpg

Amos 9:2  It wasn’t until this last generation that we have developed the technology to “climb into heaven” (Example – the international space station and United States space shuttle, and Russian space activity).

Nahum 2:3,4  Compared to ancient travel, chariots have not had power to move "like lightnings" or "seem like torches", only in the last 100-years has technology enabled human
transportation of such capabilities.  bigstockphoto_night_city_107538.jpg

Daniel 12:3-4, 8-10  Many of the things that Daniel wrote about applied to events in this last generation.

II Timothy 3:1-5, 13  The actions of people in the last days describes this generation. We are warned that it will continue to worsen.

Romans 13:11-14  Now is the time to wake up and realize that Christ's 2nd coming is quickly approaching!
