Jesus is God because if he were not why does chapter 1 in st. john say in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God ........and the word was God and the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.
— Guest UserI'm glad you asked this question, as this has many times been brought to my attention as a way to prove Jesus Christ is God. However, using all the scriptures truly does give us evidence that there are two spiritual beings. I have quoted a reference below that gives us another example that Jesus Christ is referred to as "the word."
In response to John 1:1 - Jesus Christ is the word, "Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And he who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and his name is called The Word of God" (Revelation 19:11-15 NKJV).
